Insurance

It was proposed to set a specific date for members to pay Insurance, this would be collected by the individual clubs by the 31st of January each year, and passed onto the I.A.B.C. Treasurer.

Membership to be renewed at the same time as the Insurance.

Instructors Insurance to be rectified by the end of January 2012 at the latest.

All clubs have been asked to forward members numbers to the I.A.B.C. Treasurer by e-mail.

Summer Course

It was decided to hold the Summer Course for 2012 in Carlisle, date to be announced nearer the time.

Budo Passes

The I.A.B.C. Secretary has reported the loss of the printing plates by the printers, therefore new members will have to wait to be enrolled until this is resolved.

Treasurers Books

The deposed Treasurer finally released the I.A.B.C. books to the elected treasurer (Elected June 2010) without any bank statements, receipts or pass books.

The former Treasurer stated that he had not officially been requested to release the books and that a letter from the I.A.B.C. chairman was not adequate in his opinion, he also stated that the books had not been updated since 2008 due to a lack of activity, until he deposited a sum of money into the bank just prior to this course.

W.D asked the assembly if that was the case what had happened to the course moneys that should have gone to the I.A.B.C.

It was agreed that the current Treasurer should conduct an inquiry into the funds and the activity associated with the books.

Gradings

It was noted by the Grading panel the lack of respect shown by students undertaking gradings, on this course and the Burnley course left a lot to be desired, in future all students undertaking gradings must show the utmost respect to the panel.

All student gradings must be sponsored by their Sensei and he must be at least 2 grades above the grade being sought, the applicant club must inform the I.A.B.C. Chairman/Secretary in writing 3 months prior to the grading.

It was proposed to move the gradings back to lunch time, this was accepted.

Meeting closed at 1345 hrs

The AGM opened with a question about the former treasurer not passing over the books to the new treasurer who was elected in June of 2010. B.K asked what do we do if the books are not forthcoming?                                                                                        W.B responded by stating that a letter will be sent to the former treasurer formally requesting that the books be surrendered, this letter should be signed by the Yudansha and will be sent by registered mail.

A question was raised about availability of passbooks P.T stated that the passbooks are currently at the printers and will be available shortly.

R. Mc has requested details of all clubs and their IABC members this will then be available on the website.

J.R raised the question of insurance.  B.K said that everybody should be registered with the IABC and a global insurance should be looked into. B.K will update the Yudansha at a later date.
